The Musical Olympus Foundation project ‘Music as a universal language of mankind’ became the best in the nomination ‘Culture’ of the International Silver Archer Award (USA). The prestigious award in the sphere of international public relations is a competent recognition of the Foundation relevant activity that will contribute to a successful implementation of the Musical Olympus projects in the future.
The award ceremony of the second Silver Archer contest (USA) ‘Communication in a global world’ was held on January 30 at the National press club in Washington, USA. The expert council of the Award named best 2012 projects that contribute to the development of international cultural, economic and social relations and Russia’s integration into the global communication area.
As a result of a vote by independent jury the winner in the nomination ‘Culture’ became the Musical Olympus Foundation projectaimed to establish intercultural dialogue by means of music, strengthen the partnership culture at a global level, support young gifted artists all around the world and create conditions for their professional representation.
The expert council of the Award highly praised humanitarian significance of the project and its potential, as well as a comprehensive approach and scope of the Foundation activity. The project ‘Music as a universal language of mankind’ includes the arrangement of the annual International Musical Olympus Festival and a Charitable Ball in St. Petersburg, as well as performances by the festival participants at the world best venues. The project history counts over 350 young artists from 37 countries having participated in its events.
The Musical Olympus Festival next gala-concert will be held on March 3, 2013 at Carnegie Hall (New York). The audience will enjoy a varied program of works by Kurt Schwitters, Frederick Chopin, Igor Stravinsky, George Gershwin, Samuel Barber, Giacomo Puccini, Charles Gounod, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Sergei Rachmaninov, Viktor Kosenko performed by participants of the Musical OlympusFestival- winners of major international music contests.
